This is a photo of the paddle steamer Iona built by J G Thompson in Govan in 1864. She has a very long career, serving until she was scrapped in 1936.

She was a car passenger ferry built by the Ailsa Shipbuilding Company in Troon (1976) for Caledonian MacBrayne Ltd to work the Largs-Cumbrae route in 1977.
